Sia Is Co-Directing A Documentary About Her Mysterious Life

The famously private singer-songwriter will give an unprecedented look into her life.

When it comes to enigmatic artists in the music world, there are plenty we can list off the top of our heads: The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor… and, perhaps most famously, Sia.

The singer-songwriter has gone to semi-extreme lengths to hide her face (her wig collection is practically unparalleled), and she often doesn’t appear at all in her own music videos.

But now, it appears the "Chandelier" singer is ready to shed the mystery. Deadline reports that she and her husband, Erik Anders Lang, are co-directing a documentary about her life. “Untitled Sia Documentary Project” is currently in pre-production and promises to offer an unprecedented look at the life of one of the pop world’s greatest talents.

Sia confirmed the news by retweeting a link to the Deadline story on Friday (Sept. 11).

Needless to say, we’re itching to find out more about the woman behind the bangs. While it’s somewhat admirable that she’s chosen to forgo the spotlight in favor of keeping her music front and center, we’re excited to hopefully get a glimpse of what it takes to be one of the greatest pop talents in the biz today.

News of the documentary comes in the same week we found out she’s preparing to write and direct her first movie, “Sister,” which will star her muse Maddie Ziegler. So it looks like we’ll soon be seeing Sia behind AND in front of the camera.
