Justin Bieber is in the midst of a new, exciting era of his career, which is great for a lot of different reasons. First and foremost, we get to hear brand new songs (“What Do You Mean?” is the JAM) and we get to see jaw-dropping new performances on the reg, like his high-flying VMAs comeback and his rain-soaked “Today” appearance.
But one of the absolute best parts is that, along with all the promotion surrounding his big comeback, he’s also giving us insight into who he is these days via revealing new interviews. And, consequently, we get to hear his thoughts on today’s pressing issues, like his stance on spooning.
Earlier this week, Justin said that he’s a “relationship type of guy” who loves being in love and cuddling. So during an interview that aired Thursday on 92.3 AMP Radio’s “Shoboy In the Morning,” Justin was asked whether he’s the big spoon or the little spoon.
“Depends on how I’m feeling,” he replied. “Sometimes I need someone to hold me, sometimes I want to take charge. You can be little spoon sometimes for sure, but I’m majority big spoon.”
So there you have it: Biebs is a big spoon who just wants to be held (and we volunteer as tribute).
Later, the newly-platinum star further tugged at Beliebers’ heartstrings by reflecting his broken heart, saying he wants the basis of his relationships to be love and “genuineness.”
“When you’re in a relationship, it’s a choice,” he said. “Obviously you feel it, but there’s going to be times when you don’t feel it. That’s when you choose – I choose this person with their all their faults… I think that we often put too much… we make our feelings such a reality. Our feelings aren’t necessarily real… We make up these situations, make up things in our head, and it is not necessarily real. I want to base my relationships off of love, and off of just genuineness.”
One person we’re sure would agree with Justin’s desire to keep things real (bruh) is Kanye West, who we’re pleased to report has earned JB’s seal of approval for his impending presidential candidacy.
“Kanye for President, all the way. Huge Kanye fan,” Justin said, before adding that Kanye’s “listen to the kids” slogan is “f--king dope!”
We’d say ‘Ye should recruit Justin to run as his VP, but it looks like Taylor Swift has already claimed that spot. Maybe a cabinet position? We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
