Taraji P. Henson Is 'So Excited' About Who'll Play Her Sister In 'Empire'

Cookie Lyon is getting a new sis for Season 2.

Cookie Lyon's "Empire" family is growing, and Taraji P. Henson is really jazzed about who's joining the group next.

"Independence Day: Resurgence" actress Vivica A. Fox has been added to the cast for Season 2 as Cookie's sister, and according to Entertainment Weekly we can totally expect some trouble to come along with the new character because of course.

Executive Producer Ilene Chaiken teased to EW that "Cookie's other family members are troublesome to say the least" and revealed that Vivica's character will come along in the eighth episode, all of a sudden looking for Cookie for some reason.

The character is not to be confused with Cookie's other sister Carol, who was portrayed by Tasha Smith in Season 1.

Apparently, the running theory is that "Empire" co-creator Lee Daniels might be testing the waters of audience interest in Cookie's familial history for a potential spin-off series. Which ... WANT.

Taraji P. Henson, for one, couldn't be more excited about the new addition.

She tweeted to her new on-screen sis, "FINALLY I get to play with you!!! So excited!"

Um, we're pretty excited too. Because not only are we about to get double the ferocity fun, but also? These two together are SMOKIN' hot. Like break all the cameras beautiful.
