MTV's "True Life: I'm On An Extreme Diet" followed a young man and woman who took severe measures to shed excess pounds. We had an opportunity to check in with Marissa and Jeff to see how their lives have changed since filming wrapped. Take a look at our follow-up Q&As below:
What's been happening in your life since we stopped filming? Did you see the show?
I actually watched it with my mom. It aired on my birthday! I thought it was really good. I've completely stopped doing the chocolate diet. I was feeling really awkward around my family because I know they don't approve of it.
How are things with your boyfriend Austin? Are you still together?
We're closer than ever. We've actually become workout buddies. We try different strict calorie diets and have exercise routines that we keep up with.
How is your relationship with your mom now?
Being in the show together made us talk to each other more, but we don't talk as much now since we finished filming. She's happy that I gave up the chocolate diet though.
Are there any other big changes or new plans?
I just started my senior year in high school, and I'm excited to graduate. I'm not sure if I want to go to college or not, but I definitely want to pursue a career in event planning. I've gotten into throwing sponsorship parties to help sell different products, and I like it.
How's everything been since we finished filming? Did you get a chance to watch the show?
Yes! Hannah and I watched it, and it was fantastic. Everything has been going well. Business is booming. We're currently re-releasing our products with different colors and a new marketing strategy.
Speaking of Hannah, how have you two been?
Couldn't be better. We actually just got back from a great trip to Las Vegas. We were looking at fabrics to start an athletic apparel clothing line to add to the brand within the next few months, which is exciting.
Did you decide to enter any other bodybuilding competitions?
No way. I haven't entered any competitions, and I don't plan to. I'm currently invested in motivational speaking, and I'm loving it. It's a great way to give advice to fans and help grow my following.
Any big changes or new plans?
I actually just signed with Wilhelmina Talent Agency. They recently took some photos of me to start getting a portfolio together, and I'm excited to see where that goes.
