Lana Del Rey’s New Slow-Burner Is The Perfect ‘Music To Watch Boys To’

Hear another dreamy track from her upcoming LP, 'Honeymoon.'

It seems like just yesterday Lana Del Rey dropped a new trailer for Honeymoon, leaving us with previews of several new songs that we thought would suffice until the album’s Sept. 18 release.

Oh, wait… that was yesterday.

And while the teaser trailer definitely piqued our interests, LDR’s now done us a solid and debuted the full version of “Music To Watch Boys To,” a hypnotic slow-burner that’ll remind you why you fell in love with her magical pop noir in the first place.

Lana premiered the track on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Wednesday (Sept. 9), giving us a taste of what was reportedly supposed to be Honeymoon’s lead single (that honor, of course, ended up going to the more radio-friendly “High By The Beach”).

Over a sparse beat, Lana fluctuates between dreamy echoes and deep, seductive whispers as she croons, "I like you a lot/Putting on music while I'm watching the boys/So I do what you want/Singing soft grunge just to soak up the noise.”

Honeymoon is Lana’s fourth album, and by now, she almost makes churning out dreamy tunes like this seem effortless. But we’re still falling under her sultry spell all these years later; watching the boys and soaking up the noise.
