Stephen Colbert made his big debut on "The Late Show" last night (Sept. 8), and while some people might believe it's too soon to say for sure that he's the right guy for the job... well, we couldn't find any.

Instead, fans took to the internet en masse from the moment Colbert appeared on stage, roaring with approval at what everyone agreed was a fabulous first night. Below, we round up some representative tweets.
