Looks Like The Kanye West 2020 Campaign Just Got Another Supporter

Yeezy (campaign) season approachin'.

Ever since Kanye West exploded all our heads and announced a 2020 presidential run at the 2015 Video Music Awards last Sunday, the supporters have slowly but surely trickled in.

First came Donald Trump, then Taylor Swift christened the hashtag #KanTay2020 and had our heads even more exploded.

But now we can add one important more name to the theoretical Kanye 2020 email list: Ice Cube.

The rapper/actor has been making the rounds promoting "Straight Outta Compton," the film he produced based on his life with rap group N.W.A. At a recent sit-down with the U.K.'s Daily Mail, Cube (alongside his son, O'Shea Jackson Jr., who plays him in the film), said he'd be game for a Yeezy presidency.

"Yeah, I'm voting for Kanye. Why not? Who's better than Kanye to run?," Cube said.

One thing he wouldn't do, however, is be Ye's running mate. "No, I'm not into politics like that. I'm into helping my people get over the hump. I ain't got time to help everybody," Cube said, which might be totally OK since, you know, #KanTay2020 is indeed an existing hashtag these days. Just saying.

Cube finished up with some very sagely words that I think we can all agree on: "No matter who's the president, you gotta all get up and go to work in the morning."

Preach.
