Donald Trump Is All For Kanye's 2020 Presidential Bid

The debates would be a sh-tshow.

Kanye West may or may not have been joking (we're still not 100% sure) when he announced his intention to run for President of the United States in 2020 at the tail end of his bonkers/brilliant/vanguard speech at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (Aug. 30).

But if he wasn't just making a sophisticated satirical commentary on the state of current political affairs by foisting up his first 'Ye 2020 campaign announcement upon the world, he's already got a big moneybags supporter lined up in Donald Trump.

Yep, the Don, whose own come-what-may campaign has drawn a collective hook-eye face from a lot of folks across all parties, says that he would actually be down to go toe-to-toe with Yeezy in a future race for the POTUS podium.

Trump told Rolling Stone that while he might not "quite get it" when people make comparisons between himself and West, he appreciates the fact that Yeezy's said some "extremely positive things" about him in the past and thinks Kanye For President is no joking matter.

"I was actually watching," said Trump. "I saw him do it. And I said, 'That's very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea.'"

"He's actually a different kind of person than people think," Donald Trump added. "He's a very nice guy. I hope to run against him some day."
