I don’t know about you guys, but my first step to prepare for each school year is always binge-watching a brutal CW sci-fi drama. It’s just how I prep myself for the endless papers, tests and general horribleness I know is coming. Because once you've watched a bunch of teens murdering each other just to try and survive, school honestly doesn't seem that bad.

In the case of "The 100," this can actually be a really great learning experience, believe it or not. Here are all the things that Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the gang can teach you, to get through that initial back to school stretch.

You need to learn how to prioritize.

Let’s face it, Clarke has got this down. Look no further than her decisions this past season at Mount Weather: if she can decide between saving her friends and killing the Mountain Men -- women and children included -- you can decide not to go to that party, so you can study for your math test.

Stick with your friends.

Your #squad has your back, and you’ve got to stick with them through the end.

Celebrate the little victories.

Learn how to cooperate with people.

Because sometimes group projects (like traveling down from space to re-colonize Earth) happen to good people, and we have to learn to deal.

Don't be afraid.

You can ace that test! (Or fight those Reapers!)

Don't freak out.

Keep a level head at all times.

Time management is very important.

Remember when the Grounders were going to attack and Clarke was trying to get everyone to band together and finish the wall before dawn? That’s you, making sure you can get your essay done on time.

Recognize when your ideas may not be so great.

But try them anyway! If Clarke's idea to use the drop ship's fuel to fight off the grounders worked, then so can yours.

Participate often.

A true leader does the reading and answers the teacher's questions so that their classmates don't have to.

Know how to bridge the gap between different groups.

Cooperation is key to every dispute, regardless if it's whether or not you should hang one of the members of your camp, or what font you should use on your PowerPoint.

Be optimistic.

You can do it! If you get stressed out, just remember that this show has a hundred (ha) examples of how things could be worse.
