Never, ever say that the skills you learned as a kid in Girl/Boy/Whatever Scouts are useless -- you never know when they might be the deciding factor in the matchup between you and the zombie apocalypse. It certainly seems to be the case in the upcoming movie "Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse."

Ben (Tye Sheridan), Augie (Joey Morgan) and Carter (Logan Miller) face a challenge that no handbook ever prepared them for when their scout leader (David Koechner) is turned into a zombie and they have to defend themselves -- or succumb to their eventual doom.

They team up with tough girl Denise (Sarah Dumont). Or, as Dumont put it to MTV News, "We kind of get jammed together."

Watch as the scouts go above and beyond anything they could earn a patch for as they set their scout leader on fire, take selfies with zombies (as one does) and face off against a horde of the undead in our exclusive behind the scenes look.

"Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse" hits theaters October 30.
