Watch Dumblonde Play ‘Who Is The Real Blonde?’ Because They Would Know, Obviously

The Danity Kane offshoot goes all in with their hair-detective skills.

When Danity Kane called it quits last year after a physical fight between Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day, it was a bit of a disaster. It left us all bummed.

"We were literally crying and laying in bed for a good solid week," former DK-er Shannon Bex told MTV News about the split.

But earlier this year, we turned hopeful again after O'Day and Bex formed Dumblonde -- a sparkly synthpop project that makes sugary songs perfect for blasting, dancing, and just generally feeling super pumped. And their fingerprints are on a lot more than just what you're hearing on record.

"Shannon and I sat down and really discussed what I feel I am, what she feels she is and what we could come together and combine," O'Day said. "This time around, we're involved in every aspect down to editing the videos, creating all of the looks, the branding, lyrics, production, everything."

The pair have been prepping an official album due out September 25 and have released three awesomely strange videos (all directed or co-directed by O'Day) -- "White Lightning," "Dreamsicle" and "Tender Green Life" -- ahead of it.

To get ready for the album's release, we decided to quiz O'Day and Bex on a topic they'd ostensibly know well, at least based on their names: blondes. During a game of "Who Is The Real Blonde?," the pair actually did surprisingly OK! (Considering the fleeting nature of celeb hair color in general.)
