Kristen Stewart Would Be 'Fascinated' By A 'Twilight' Reboot

Just don't ask her to be in it.

With only three years elapsed since the end of the "Twilight" saga, it might be a little bit soon for anyone to be talking about a reboot. (Personally, I'm gonna need at least another three years to emotionally recover from the trauma of that "Carlisle's severed head" prank they pulled in the final scene of "Breaking Dawn.")

But if it ever happens, we'll know how Kristen Stewart, the star of the original "Twilight" films, feels about a return to Forks.

Namely: She'll happily go back -- but as a spectator, not a vampire.

In an interview with Uproxx, Stewart initially reacted to a question about her feelings about remaking "Twilight" with what seems like a mild panic.

"Are they saying that they have to redo them? Like, we have to do them again?" she asked.

But after being reassured that no, she will not be personally required to play Bella Swan if the story returns to the screen, the actress admitted that she'd be pretty into seeing someone take a second stab at "Twilight".

"I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it," she said of the franchise. "But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you: I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other."

This may or may not be Kristen's diplomatic way of expressing pure morbid curiosity about what more "Twilight" movies would look like. But considering how reboot-happy Hollywood is lately, let's be honest, we're only going to be waiting so long before someone wants to do it again.
