'Game Of Thrones' Did Not Prepare Maisie Williams For Awkward Onscreen Sexytimes

The actress is trying out a more adult role in indie film 'The Falling.'

If you've ever wanted to see Arya Stark in a steamy sex scene... well, no. Of course you haven't, because she's 12 years old and that would be gross.

But if you've ever wanted to see Maisie Williams, the actress who plays Arya (and who is of legal consenting age in real life), getting up to some sexy business onscreen, then you're in luck: Her new indie flick, "The Falling," is all about a young woman's sexual awakening against a backdrop of mass schoolgirl hysteria.

Williams spoke to Vulture about the role, and opened up about doing her first sex scene -- which, despite the actress having basically grown up on the set of the very, very R-Rated "Game of Thrones," was apparently still pretty uncomfortable.

"It was extremely awkward!" Williams said of shooting the scene.

Fortunately, Williams had help in the form of co-star Joe Cole, who made the extra effort to make sure she was comfortable.

"Joe was very sensitive to the fact that I had never done a scene like this before, and it was great to work with someone who was so considerate of that. We went out for a couple of lunches and stuff just to get to know each other, and we had days of rehearsal where we'd get to know our characters and spend a couple of hours with each other," she explained. "So I knew him quite well, and we got along quite well. It all paid off in the end."

Because much like actual boning, it turns out that first-time movie sex is way better with a considerate partner.

Williams' movie, "The Falling," is out now on demand.
