OMG 'Star Wars' Is Officially Coming To Disney Parks -- And You Can Control The Millennium Falcon

Will BB-8 be there, too?

ANAHEIM, California -- Are you ready to take a trip to a galaxy far, far away? Because it's all happening, "Star Wars" fans.

Today (August 15), Disney announced that "Star Wars"-themed lands will be coming to Disney parks -- Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

"We're bringing 'Star Wars' to life in a big way, and I mean really big," Chairman and CEO Bob Iger announced at D23. "We’re creating a jaw-dropping new world, that represents our largest single-themed land expansion ever." (Over 14 acres, to be exact.) "We knew it needed to be big, we knew it needed to be great, so we’re going to transport guests to a whole new planet."

Pretty cool, right? Well, it gets even better. Not only will there be a cantina, with familiar favorites from the original "Star Wars" saga as well as new ones from "The Force Awakens," but park goers will also get the chance to -- wait for it -- take the controls of the Millennium Falcon (!!) on a "customized secret mission" that will put you right in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
