Cue the awkward neighborly fist bump action because Dave Franco has now officially signed on to return to the frat house for "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising." Which means the gang's pretty much all-in now for some more collegiate shenanigans -- since Zac Efron, Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are also set to reprise their roles for the sure-to-be-rowdy Nicholas Stoller sequel.
This time, though, it looks like there's going to be some serious boy vs. girl tension going down, with Chloë Grace Moretz leading a pack of sorority girls onto the block. While plot details are still slim at this point, Moretz gave a big hint about what's gonna go down when she tweeted that "it's the girls' time to take over." Dun dun dunnnnn...
Anyway, no matter who's going to be terrorizing who in "Neighbors 2," the return of Franco was key to keeping it funny to the hilt because even though Zacky was the comedic centerpiece of 2014's "Neighbors," Dave was definitely the unsung hero of that movie and everything surrounding it. Let's review.
First of all, there's the simple fact he classes up pretty much any joint, but especially the Delta Psi house. Because in addition to being the guy who helps throw epic ragers with zero effs given to the sleeping baby next door -- wompppp -- he cares about the environment and making the grade. A complex fellow, this one.
But, and this is important, he is also not afraid to just let it burn from time to time.
Plus, he will whip out some real-talk when necessary because SOMEONE's gotta keep old Teddy in line.
His DeNiro impersonation is tops.
And he's literally the only other person who could volley with this brotastic convo.
Last, but certainly not least, there was also that time he and Zacky -- a.k.a. the year's Best Duo -- exchanged stage gropes at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards and sealed the deal on their epic bromance status. You just cannot split them up at this point.
