Beyoncé Makes History On The Cover Of The 'Vogue' September Issue

This one's truly a cover fit for a queen.

UPDATE (8/13/15, 7:25 a.m. ET): Vogue has confirmed that Beyoncé covers their 2015 September issue.

On the mag's website, a vexing behind-the-scenes video of Bey in full, fantastic form has been launched, and a preview of the feature has also been revealed, including a ton of designer blurbs lauding the force that is Sasha Fierce. Check that out here.

PREVIOUSLY: September is almost here, meaning the biggest and best fashion magazine cover is about to be unveiled to the world.

Vogue’s coveted September issue is the stuff of legend — heck, there was even a whole documentary about it. Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour usually saves it for the most influential celeb at the moment, and this year, she’s chosen a cover fit for a queen.

Queen Bey, that is.

On Wednesday evening (Aug. 12), an internet leak revealed that Beyoncé may be the magazine’s September cover girl, marking her third U.S. Vogue cover ever.

On the stunning cover, Bey sports wet, wavy hair and models a lavender embroidered dress with floral appliqués. She also holds an embellished purple jacket, casually draped over her shoulder.

The cover text reads: “Just B: Beyoncé and the Art of Global Domination,” so we’re basically expecting the accompanying article to teach us how to slay on the daily.

Beyoncé previously covered the magazine’s March 2013 and April 2009 issues. And in a history-making move, she’s also just the third black woman EVER to land the September issue cover (the others being model Naomi Campbell and actress Halle Berry).

Vogue did not immediately respond to our request for confirmation. The issue is expected to be officially released on Friday.
