Aaannddd the September issues just keep rollin' in, y'all. We've been #blessed with Katy Perry's Harper's Bazaar takeover, Miley Cyrus on Marie Claire, and Demi Lovato on Cosmopolitan and just now Nylon revealed their latest cover star–Kristen Stewart!
We thought KStew's Elle UK cover was going to be the only issue she landed this month, but we are so stoked to see our girl decked out in tons of comfy couture pieces for Nylon. On the cover, she wears a distressed T-shirt with a plaid blazer, skinny jeans and tons of hardware—atypical of most glammed up September issues, but definitely very ~Kristen~. Also in true KStew style, she opts for dark eyes and no-nonsense waves because, hey, it always works, and she knows it.
In the spread, she opts for sneakers over stilettos with her high-fashion ensemble, and it's no wonder–she's a skater IRL. “I’m not a hard-core skater chick—I can skate on the street, but I don’t like to trick s--t out," she told Nylon. "Skating around downtown might be my happy place.”
In another look, she proves that she can work a tattered tee with literally anything as she kicks back in a fringe skirt, leather jacket and lace-up boots. When it comes to fashion, Kristen likes how outfits can tap into "unexplored aspects" of herself. “Clothes can seriously do that, but you don’t want your clothes to wear you. So often I’m like, ‘Oh man, that is going to own my ass.’” Um, we think QUITE the opposite, K Stew.
Here, she takes her badassness (that's a word, sort of...) to new heights in a swept-back pomp, asymmetrical skirt and zebra-sleeved leather jacket. It's obvious this girl can work any look with fierce conviction, so it's no surprise she's Karl Lagerfeld's main muse. In fact, he lets her straight-up do whatever she wants with his designs. “He lets me chop dresses, he lets me steal a belt from that dress and wrap it around another.... I’m really into the performance aspect of it, but I still have to make it my own. I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing a costume.” Don't worry, bb, you look fantastic.
