'The Notebook' Still Isn't Over Because Now It's Going To Be A TV Show

If you're a CW show, I'm a CW show.

Rachel McAdams just wrapped up her run on "True Detective," and I hope she's ready for more small screen action, because we're going to at least need her as a guest star on the new "The Notebook" TV series.

That's right. "The Notebook" TV series. It's happening.

Entertainment Weekly has the scoop that the Nicholas Sparks romance epic is going to come alive once more, this time as a TV series on The CW. You wanted all of this forever every day, and now it looks like you're going to get it most weeks at least.

Here's the official log line:

“This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.”

And in case you're not sure how to feel about any of this, you're supposed to feel like this:

The show is only in the development stages right now, so don't get too excited just yet. Actually, scratch that, MAYBE GET EXCITED.

Now, who can possibly take Noah and Allie over from Ryan and Rachel? That's the real question. I know they're busy with another CW show, but just to float this out there…
