When you're looking at the day-to-day headlines, it can sometimes feel like there's only a handful of women for aspiring politicians to look up to. But not every woman in politics has to be a Hillary Clinton or a Carly Fiorina to be worthy of our attention.

On every level of national and international politics there are women who are kicking ass and taking names, doing just as much heavy lifting as any of the dudes. From D.C. Representative Eleanor Holmes-Norton (who you might recognize from this amazing John Oliver segment) to Senator Elizabeth Warren (who you may recognize from the creepy shrine in my closet), here are just a few who deserve some love:
