Nicki Minaj Goes All Hillary Clinton On Robin Thicke's New Song

The singer grabs Nicki for his new single 'Back Together.'

Robin Thicke may not be naming his new album after ex Paula Patton, like he did last time around, but it sure sounds like she's still the inspiration for his music.

On "Back Together," the singer's new single, which features Nicki Minaj and will be included on his Morning Sun album, his croons still sound directed at his former flame. "Now all I wanna do is get, get you back/ 'Cause, girl, you're still the best that I've ever had," he sings.

The funk-filled jam is produced by Max Martin -- a name you may recognize from such hits as Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood," The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face" and dozens of others -- and seems poised for a big summer finish.

It doesn't hurt, either, of course, that Nicki hops on for an animated verse where she namedrops Mary Poppins and Hillary Clinton, because why not? "Used to call me Hillary cause I ride 'em," she raps, making a play on the presidential hopeful's maiden name (Rodham). She even references one of Meek Mill's tracks, "Levels": "Boy your times up, where’d you wind up?/ There’s levels to this sh-t, you shoulda climbed up."

Despite the content of the track -- which sure sounds like it's about Paula -- Thicke is now in a relationship with 20-year-old April Love Geary. In fact, after rumors surfaced on Wednesday, he even had to dispel a rumor that he had gotten engaged. It proved a good way to promo his song, though.
