12 Ways Your Summer Camp Was Nothing Like 'Camp Rock'
Ah, summer camp. The glorious memories of campfires, lakes and watching the Jonas Brothers perform live before one of them joins you as a fellow camper. Well, maybe not the last one.
Unless you were lucky enough to attend a real-life "Camp Rock," odds are your summer camp was nothing like the Disney Channel flick. As much as it hurts our hearts to say it, here are all the reasons why we weren't living in a rock-and-roll wonderland every summer.
First of all, the Jonas Brothers weren’t there.
And they definitely didn’t perform.
The boys were nowhere near this cute.
With the humidity, no one’s hair looked this good.
You didn’t learn any huge life lessons.
Your cafeteria dance parties weren't this coordinated.
Kitchen duty was not at all fun.
Your lake was more brown and less beautiful.
There were no outdoor jam sessions.
Or indoor, really.
The buildings were never this clean.
Neither was the dining hall.
You had no way of getting outfits that would match this perfectly.
Unfortunately none of the cabins house a mall.
There was no life-defining musical moment.
BUT there's one way it was totally the same: you made friends for life.
And that's the best part.
