One Direction have a lot on their plate right now. They're in the middle of their huge On The Road Again Tour, they're prepping their fifth album, they just surprise-released a new song and they're starting a press run. Not to mention Louis Tomlinson has a baby on the way.
Louis hasn't come out publicly with the baby news after it surfaced online in July, but on Tuesday morning (Aug. 4) on "Good Morning America," the 1D singer finally addressed the rumors -- thanks to some suave talking by "GMA" host Michael Strahan.
"From one father to another, I want to congratulate you," Strahan said to an awkward Tomlinson. "How are you feeling?"
"Thank you," Louis started. "Obviously, it's a very exciting time, so I’m buzzing, thank you."
There was an stomach-churning silence after that, and Lara Spencer tried to hand off the pressure on Harry Styles, who looked a little bewildered, but amused.
After the interview, the guys performed their new song, "Drag Me Down," and "Story Of My Life."
Earlier this morning, Liam Payne tweeted about being hounded by the paparazzi, saying that he felt like a cornered animal and that he wishes he were Harry Potter. I bet I know someone else in the band needs an invisibility cloak right now...
Liam also took to the airwaves on Monday to talk about Louis' baby drama and how the rest of the band reacted.
“Well, I was quite, I was obviously a bit shocked, but he’s [Louis] taken super well to it and he’s excited; he’s very excited about what’s going on with him at the moment,” Liam told Magic FM. “And sometimes stuff happens like that… And not [as though] it’s a small deal… You know, he’s taking it very seriously. It’s all good.”
The reactions online are endless, but here's a hilarious sampling:
