This ‘Walking Dead’ Star Is Pregnant — Will She Be Killed Off The Show?
Main characters typically drop like flies on “The Walking Dead,” but in real life, the opposite is (thankfully) true. Case in point: one of our fave zombie-slayers, Alanna Masterson, who plays Tara, has announced she’s pregnant with her first child.
The 27-year-old actress shared the happy news on Instagram with a glamorous pic in which she cradles her burgeoning baby bump.
“Guess what… @brickstowell,” she captioned the pic, tagging her longtime boyfriend, photographer Brick Stowell.
Stowell also posted a mirror selfie of him and the mama-to-be (captioned “Baby Season”), which shows Masterson flaunting her belly in a bikini.
Of course, the question on everyone’s minds is how the show will proceed with Masterson’s growing baby bump. When Sonequa Martin-Green (who plays Sasha) was pregnant with her first child during Season Five, she managed to conceal her belly by hiding behind her gun and under thick layers of clothes. The show could use the same crafty tactics with Masterson, especially considering that writing in a pregnancy storyline for her seems a bit farfetched (Tara is a lesbian, remember). Plus, we all saw what disastrous consequences occurred the last time a character was pregnant on the show (R.I.P. Lori).
Or, because this is “The Walking Dead” and no one is safe for long, Tara could be killed off the show so Masterson could focus on her pregnancy (but we hope not!). In any case, we’ll see how Tara’s fate plays out when the show returns for its sixth season on October 11.
