In 2014, the two came together to producer the "Annie" remake, which starred Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis and now they're aiming to tell the story of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old African American boy who's gruesome murder helped to spark the Civil Rights Movement.
According to Complex.com, Hov and Smith are developing a mini-series set to air on HBO.
There aren't many details, but the story is sure to be an emotional one.
In 1955, Till was murdered after an encounter with a white woman. He was severely beaten and the teen's mother insisted on an open casket funeral so the world could see what happened to her son. Till's story became a spark for the Civil Rights Movement.
