Check Out David Beckham's New Tattoo Tribute To Victoria

Who knew numbers could be so romantic?

David and Victoria Beckham just celebrated their 16th year of marriage on July 4 -- which is straight wowza status in celebrity nuptial terms.

So, David decided to commemorate the starting date of his still-wedded bliss -- and a major series of his athletic career wins, too -- with a fresh new parcel of ink art. (Note: That's also a surefire way to help jog your memory of the anniversary date in a pinch, team.)

The football/soccer player-slash-fashion model posted an Instagram photo of his newest tattoo, which is located on his pinky finger and reads simply, "99."

"99 was a good year for me ..." Beckham captioned the shot.

Indeed, 1999 was the year that he and Victoria walked down the aisle and he had a seminal run with his squad at Manchester United, as they won the Treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League trophies.

Beckham previously celebrated his long-time marriage to the former Spice Girl with a too-sweet love letter in another cutesy Instagram pic and cap. "16 years ago today was our special day... 16 years on we have our beautiful children... Thank you for giving me our amazing little ones .... Happy anniversary ❤️" he wrote.

Sappy social media? Now, that's how to bend it like Beckham.
