16 Things We Can Already Predict About James Franco's Bar Mitzvah

It's going to be so bromantic.

It's never too late to "become a man."

In James Franco's case, he's now 37 years old and finally getting his very own bar mitzvah -- just a quarter of a century after the usual age range for the ceremonial tradition.

Better still, it's his Hollywood bestie Seth Rogen who's throwing the part-ay as a benefit for the annual Hilarity for Charity variety show founded by Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen.

"Ever since I've known James, he's been talking about wanting a bar mitzvah. We're excited to see him finally become a man while also helping us raise awareness and funds for people living with Alzheimer's and towards research that will lead to a cure. And in celebration we'll also have a mohel and a live bris for James at the event," said Rogen in a statement.

James and Seth have been pals since they met on the set of "Freaks and Geeks" back in the late '90s, and they've worked together on more than half a dozen films since, so we've pretty much figured out how this night is going to go down already.

  1. First of all, someone is going to be jumping out of a cake. It's a must.
    NBC
  2. They'll probably have to keep an eye out for any uninvited North Korean dictators waltzing in. 'Cause he's probably still mad about "The Interview" and all that.
    Sony
  3. But otherwise, there'll be some pretty sick celebrity cameos.
    Columbia Pictures
  4. They'll totally be the duding it out with some shaggy hairstyles.
    NBC
  5. Meanwhile, McLovin will be there doing this the entire time.
    Columbia Pictures
  6. And -- behind the scenes, at least -- they'll probably be riding the "Pineapple Express" for old time's sake.
    Columbia Pictures
  7. So, they'll laugh A LOT.
    Columbia Pictures
  8. Especially since you just know SOMEONE's going to be roasting the guy (again).
    Comedy Central
  9. The police are probably going to show up at some point.
    Columbia Pictures
  10. But they will give exactly zero effs and keep right on dancing.
    Columbia Pictures
  11. They might end up taking it to the next level: spoofing.
  12. At some point, James Franco will start explaining art and poetry to random people.
    Columbia Pictures
  13. But eventually they'll end up having a makeover session with fruity cocktails, guaranteed.
  14. And that's when the real dirt will start spilling.
    Columbia Pictures
  15. Which means they're going to declare themselves to one another forever and ever (again).
    Columbia Pictures
  16. Then comes the throwbacky send-off speech to close it out and make everyone cry-giggle.
    Columbia Pictures

The blessed event will take place on Oct. 17 at the Hollywood Palladium and is promised to include comedy, music, food, alcohol and some or all of the above. Tickets will go on sale August 11th.
