The Weeknd Is A Prisoner To His Addiction On New Track: Listen

Abel drops a new track in London.

The Weeknd is on fire right now. Last week, the Toronto singer set a Billboard record when he claimed the top three spots on the Hot R&B chart with “Earned It” (No. 3), “The Hills” (No. 2) and “Can’t Feel My Face” (No. 1).

His new album, Beauty Behind the Madness, is due out Aug. 28 and during a show in London, Abel played a new track that we hope ends up on the LP.

"I'm a prisoner to my addiction," Weeknd can be heard singing in a YouTube video that a fan posted online on Tuesday.

"I'm addicted to a life that's so empty and so cold," he continues over the heavy piano keys and thumping drums.

While another artist may have tried to pull the YouTube link down, Weeknd actually encouraged his fans to listen to the full track when he retweeted a SoundCloud link to the same song.
