5 Seconds Of Summer's week was most assuredly better than anyone else's week (and definitely better than mine).
On Friday (July 17), the Australian band dropped the springy "She's Kinda Hot," a sneaky little pop-rock song pretty much guaranteed to linger in your head for the remainder of the summer, after teasing it with a graffiti video post two days earlier. Fans went bonkers on social media, because of course they did.
And then, that same night, 5SOS brought their gargantuan Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour to North America for the first time with a glitzy, glamorous show in Las Vegas. The band was understandably stoked, especially as "She's Kinda Hot" was still inching its way through the continent's airwaves.
Fans, of course, were likewise stoked about the synchronicity (and still are).
When the show finally kicked off, 5SOS sweetly serenaded them -- because that's what you do, duh -- and the fans sang back just as sweetly.
But when they launched into "She's Kinda Hot" for its first live performance ever, that's when things pretty much exploded.
5SOS certainly looked like rock stars amid the massive stadium crowd at Vegas' Mandala Bay Events Center, as this photo from guitarist Michael Clifford's Instagram shows.
Good stuff, 5SOS. As they say, thks 4 th mmrs.
