Video Premiere: Watch Post Malone's 'White Iverson'

Post Malone debuts 'White Iverson' on MTV!

When Post Malone dropped his first single, "White Iverson" in February, he combined two things that the Internet loves: a slow and hazy production (reminiscent of OVO Sound star PartyNextDoor) and overt references to retired NBA star Allen Iverson.

Now, five months later, Malone's track has gained almost 17 million plays on his SoundCloud page and his star continues to rise. On Saturday (July 18), Malone debuted his Van Alpert-directed video for "White Iverson" on MTV.

To start, Malone drives a white Rolls Royce out to a desert area as he holds an all-white basketball in his arms. For most of the clip, Post spends his time alone, singing his heart out. "I need that money like the ring I never won," he croons longingly, in reference to A.I.'s amazing-yet-championshipless career.

To finish things off Post Malone, who's name conjures memories of another basketball legend -- Karl Malone, walks off-screen and makes a difficult over-the-shoulder trick shot. Swish!
