Kanye West Haters Are Signing A Petition To Stop Yeezus From Performing In Canada

More than 45,000 petitioners have rallied against Yeezus.

Petitioners are working to remove Kanye West as a performer at this year's Pan American games' closing ceremony in Toronto.

So far, 45,252 supporters have signed a Change.org petition labeled "Don't have Kanye West headline the closing ceremony for the Toronto Pan American Games."

Why the hate?

"The Toronto Pan Am games have proven to be very important for Torontonians this year and have triggered a unified sense of pride in our city," the petition's statement reads. "It would only be just to ask a proud Torontonian (or even a Canadian for that matter) in the music industry to perform, such as Drake, Walk Off The Earth, Feist, Metric, Shania Twain, deadmau5, Crystal Castles, Zeds Dead, The Weeknd, Peaches, K'naan, and many, many more!"

We should have seen this coming. On Thursday (July 16), we reported on fans wishing Drizzy would take Yeezy's place at the event. It appears listeners like those, and other likeminded anti West folks have teamed up to rally against Yezus' appearance at the Pan Am games.

But don't worry. The College Dropout MC has supporters too.

This isn't the first petition Kanye's faced this year. Galstonbury petitioners also tried to stop the Yeezy performance. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl shut Ye haters down and Lilly Allen did the same by burning a "F--k Off Kanye" flag at the festival. How did Yeezy respond? He just rocked the stage like a pro and covered a Queen classic.

That's how you do the mic drop.
