'The Vampire Diaries' Has Cast Its First Same-Sex Couple And We Are In Love

These ladies will make fangs look fabulous.

Lily Salvatore's little "family" of heretics just got a whole lot more intriguing.

Last month, we were stoked to learn that the seventh season of "The Vampire Diaries" would introduce the series' first same-sex couple, a pair of lady vamps named Nora and Mary Louise. Now the actresses who'll help usher Mystic Falls into the 21st century -- excepting the inevitable flashback episode(s), that is -- have been chosen.

Per Variety, actresses Scarlett Byrne and Teressa Liane will be introduced to the series in the first episode of the new season, and now we have a little personality preview to review right quick.

Byrne, whom "Harry Potter" fans might recognize as Pansy Parkinson in the film series, will reportedly become the tomboyish Nora, a gifted woman who has little interest in assimilating.

Meanwhile, "Neighbours" star Teressa Liane will become Mary Louise, a chick who's got mad skills with witchery and speaks her mind.

Together, these two are obviously going to be a fierce force. Watch out, Salvatore brothers!

Also joining the "TVD" cast is "Evil Dead" actress Elizabeth Blackmore, who'll come in as Valerie, a gloomy-doomier member of Lily's fam. She'll be causing some trouble around town for SURE -- and not just because she's got revenge on the brain.

Yep, we definitely already have googly eyes for all three gals. “TVD” returns to The CW on Thursday, Oct. 8.
