Ian Somerhalder Says Damon Will Show Some Skin In 'TVD' Season 7

Yas, yas, and more YAS.

Not since Wilson the half-faced neighbor on "Home Improvement" have we seen such clever camera angling as there was on "The Vampire Diaries" when Damon got nekkid.

Need a quick refresher on that? Well, that's what we're here for.

According to Ian Somerhalder, fans might get to see some more pleaser-teasers -- hey, it's still network TV -- from the steamy-eyed vamp in Season 7, now that the show'll be heading to its "sexy" and "volatile" roots, post-Elena Gilbert.

Somerhalder told Entertainment Weekly that he'll be showing some serious skin in the new season.

"I think I’m naked in like two episodes," said Somerhalder. "That last shot when you looked up at him on that clock tower and saw what that vista was, it was a depiction of this dark, volatile place that we all sort of want to go anyways because we want to go back to that Season 1, Season 2 storytelling that ... made us fall in love with the show to begin with."

"He’s going to go down some dark paths," Somerhalder added, "but it’s going to be fun. And... a lot of these characters that we remember seeing them in the very beginning of the show was, is that they were fun, they were sexy, they were volatile, they were unpredictable - and it was happening."

Of course, Damon's lady love Elena (Nina Dobrev) will be "taking a nap" through the new season, as Somerhalder explained it MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con. So, there's a chance he might have been joking about shedding his skivvies. (But for obvious reason, we hope not. Because yum.)
