Here's Why Andy Samberg Rocked A Plastic Bubble Suit On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

It might've been due to illness. Or drugs. Or both.

Andy Samberg appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday (July 2), but he wasn't exactly feeling like himself. The comedian and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member had a nasty case of the flu — so Kimmel made him do his interview from inside a giant plastic bubble.

"It's just a precaution we like to take," Kimmel said. "It's not me, it's ABC."

Samberg wasn't quite sure where he'd picked up the virus that landed him in his inflatable quarantine, but he assured Kimmel that he was on plenty of drugs to combat the sickness (and a few other drugs just for fun).

Samberg also dished on his forthcoming HBO special, 7 Days in Hell, which tells the story of a never-ending tennis match between him and Jon Snow -- er, Kit Harrington. Hopefully he'll be allowed to leave the bubble before the movie premieres.
