While on a much-deserved break from One Direction’s On The Road Again tour, Liam Payne is soaking up his free time in the Sunshine State — and he’s doing all the normal, tourist-y things you’d probably least expect from a world-famous star.

The 21-year-old ventured to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando this week, accompanied by his family and his girlfriend, Sophia Smith.

At Disney World, several sneaky fans posted pics of Liam and his squad on rides like Tower of Terror, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, and a log flume ride that left them drenched.

Liam and Sophia also posed for this cute pic at the happiest place on Earth, showing off their new gear: a Goofy hat (complete with two big buck teeth in front) and a sequined Minnie Mouse headband.

After visiting Universal Studios, Liam geeked out on Instagram, sharing this shot of Hogwarts and writing, “I love universal studios Orlando Harry potter world I'm such a Harry potter nerd and there's no better place to feel like a wizard ... Thanks :)”

All this talk of Liam on rides definitely has us reminiscing about 1D’s own amusement park ventures, so this is probably a good excuse to revisit the time Liam hilariously interviewed his bandmates while riding roller coasters (which Zayn mysteriously drops out of, BTW. Just sayin.’).
