Michael B. Jordan Spars With Rocky In First 'Creed' Trailer

It's the eye of the tiger (cub).

It's been almost 40 years since Sylvester Stallone ascended that staircase, drenched in sweat, and proved his love for Adriannnnnnn by gaining the respect of an audience full of doubters and going the distance with Apollo Creed in "Rocky."

Which means, it's definitely time for Sly to pass on the old gloves and let somebody new emerge as the hometown hero who defies all crowd expectations.

Enter the late Apollo's own son, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan), who's been taping up and sparring with walls for years just to get a taste of the sport that runs in his very veins, thanks to the father he never got to know. And he needs a good trainer.

The first trailer for "Creed," written and directed by Ryan Coogler who last teamed with Jordan for "Fruitale Station," has now been revealed. And chances are, no one'll be referring to this movie as "Rocky 7" after people get a look at this electrifying first-glimpse.

Clearly, it's still the thrill of the fight that gets these guys to rise to the challenge of their rivals.

"Creed" hits theaters on Nov. 25.
