This Little Girl Has The Coolest Eye Patches Ever, Thanks To Her Crafty Dad

See your fave movie characters in eye patch form.

18-month-old Layla proves eye patches can look insanely awesome even if they aren't part of a pirate's costume. Every day her dad, Geof Grubb, fancies up her plain ol' eye patch with pop culture's most beloved characters.

"Patching can be frustrating for me as the parent, so this helps make it fun and it keeps me committed to doing it every day," Grubb, 32, told Today. "We bought her some plain patches and I thought they were a little depressing so this was my way of making it more fun, especially for me."

Grubb, a stay-at-home dad, lives in Chicago with Layla, who was born with a cataract in her eye. She started wearing an eye patch 10 months ago to help correct her vision. It's not a permanent thing, but she may be wearing it for the next several years.

"Her doctor is very happy with her development so far," Grubb said.

In the meantime, Grubb and Layla are making the best of the situation by decorating the patches. We're not talking stick figures here, either. These casual doodles are pretty impressive illustrations, and Grub has been posting them on the Instagram page @laylaspatches since March. Check out some our favorites below:

"The Hunger Games"
