John Oliver On Why Trans People's Privates Are None Of Your Business

Pro tip: The contents of other people's pants aren't your concern.

If you've been waiting impatiently for John Oliver to turn his phenomenal ranting skills to the issue of transgender rights, congratulations: Dreams do come true!

Oliver took on the "T" in LGBT on "Last Week Tonight" this week (June 28), skewering the media for their gross fixation (and intrusive questions) about what's between the legs of transgender people like Caitlyn Jenner or Laverne Cox.

"What are you doing?!" Oliver asked, rhetorically, after playing a clip of Barbara Walters asking trans beauty queen Jenna Talackova whether she looked "like a woman" when nude. "It is no more okay to ask transgender people about their sex organs than it would be to ask Jimmy Carter whether or not he's circumcised."

And to people like Mike Huckabee, proud author of the derpiest, douchiest, most tone-deaf contribution ever to the trans rights issue -- in which he said that he would have opportunistically identified as female in high school in order to take showers in the girls' locker room -- Oliver had a phenomenal rejoinder:

"There is something inherently wrong with forcing us to listen to your f---ed up daydreams about all the sex crimes you would have committed as a teenager had you just been able to find a legal loophole. That’s weird."
