The 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Sequel Has The Most Awesome Title Possible

We're hooked! (On a feeling)

Remember back when "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn posted the official cover page for the movie's sequel script on his Twitter page -- but didn't show us the whole title?

Well, now we know what it is: "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2." HECK yeah.

Marvel

So where did we hear about this awesome new title? After lots of fan theories and breathless anticipation, the big reveal came not from an official social media release or even from Gunn himself. Instead, it came from from Marvel producer Kevin Feige letting the title slip unexpectedly during an "Ant-Man" press event.

Whoooops.

Naaaah, not really, I just couldn't resist quoting that part of the movie. Don't worry, there's no bad blood! James Gunn later confirmed the title, which Feige accidentally told to Steven Weintrub of Collider, on Twitter:

Then Gunn went to his Facebook page to let the rest of us know about Feige's gaffe -- "which I'm really happy about because God knows I've let more than one thing slip accidentally while chattering away on this FB page," he said.

"Also, hats off to some intrepid fans who figured out the title a couple of days after I posted the cover page," he continued, noting that a lot of people guessed it would be "Vol. 2" based on the placement of the title's font (as well as Peter "Star-Lord" Quill's penchant for awesome mixtape volumes):

"I wanted so badly to give you props at the time, but knew I had to wait," Gunn said. "For Kevin to mess up. Haha."

Oh yeah, and while we're confirming things, Gunn also had this to say about the rumors that Chris Pratt cried upon hearing the story for the "GoTG" sequel:

Well, there you have it, folks. Who's excited?
