Lana del Rey is back again with another teaser of her new single, the title track of her upcoming album "Honeymoon," and we're even more intrigued than before.
The new clip is set up similarly to the previous one, featuring a dreamy close up of Lana's seriously gorgeous face dolled up in thick false eye lashes and a small flower tucked into her hair. It also has a grainy, VHS-quality to it, a perfect match for Lana's '60s and '70s-tinged music.
Earlier this year, Lana told Billboard that the new album would be a return to form. “I finished my last one in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea," she said. "It’s growing into something I really like. I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good."
In the video, we hear Lana sing, "It's not fashionable to love, but you don't go." According to the lyrics Lana posted on the Honeymoon Instagram two weeks ago, the snippet is part of the first verse of the track.
Lana also shared new behind-the-scenes details of the recording process. She is working once again with friend and producer Rick Nowels on the record. Rick previously produced and co-wrote tracks for Lana which later appeared on Born to Die and Ultraviolence, including lead single "West Coast."
"I'm so grateful for all of the beautiful ways he dances around my melodies, and all of the new melodies that spring from the muse that dances between us," Lana said on Instagram. She also praised Kieron Menzies, her longtime vocal engineer and new co-producer for the record, calling him, "the coolest."
A release date for Honeymoon has not been set, but we're sure Lana, who loves to share to social media, will let us know in the "most fashionable" way possible.
