Though it's still a full two years away (ugh), "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is poised to be the greatest movie of all time -- at least, that's what star Chris Pratt says.
The sequel will also bring many more feels than the first one did, as writer/director James Gunn recently told Collider.
"It's going to be exciting. I think it's a more emotional movie," Gunn said. "I think it's both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters. We get to learn a lot about fathers in the second movie."
In other words: WE GET TO MEET STAR-LORD'S FATHER, YOU GUYS. Probably. Most likely. We think.
The first "Guardians" flick was super fun, but it had its share of emotional gut-punches as well. If the second one dips more heavily into parental feels territory, our collective need for tissues may end up approaching Pixar-level heights.
Or, Gunn said, we can just sit tight and salivate over the new tunes coming our way from Star-Lord's latest mixtape: "We haven't listened to Awesome Mix 2 yet, so we get to hear it in the sequel."
Right on.
