When a rapper cosigns a designer, that fanship usually happens in the form of a lyrical nod or a front row appearance—but A$AP Ferg is not like other rappers. Let's just say he really went above and beyond for Astrid Andersen's latest campaign—to mythical levels. Kung-fu levels.
In the bonkers video clip, which Ferg also soundtracked with a Missy Elliott-inspired banger produced by Stelios Phili and Crystal Caines, the Trap Lord suited up in Andersen's spring/summer collection to go up against his hypeman Marty Baller. We won't give away the outcome, but as far as their ability to unleash martial arts moves in hella layers and robes goes, they're both winners.
Of course, it's not exactly surprising that Ferg would put himself out there like this for Andersen. Not only have they teamed up before—last summer Ferg flexed his A+ modeling skills for her Topman collaboration—she's one of the only designers whose graphics he'll wear, aside from his own designs and those from the god, aka Ralph Lauren. "I have a problem wearing people's logos cause I'm a creator myself," he explained to i-D. "So, for me to wear a logo, as a badge of honor, is a huge thing for me. I support Ralph Lauren, that's my thing. I support Astrid." After this collaboration, so will a whole new group of people.
