One N.W.A. Rapper Wants More Screen Time In 'Straight Outta Compton' Biopic

MC Ren isn't happy with Universal Pictures.

We're inching closer to the August release of the anticipated N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton," but if fans are getting excited, one member of the storied rap group absolutely does not share their enthusiasm.

MC Ren took to Twitter on Wednesday night, Jun. 10 to air out his grievances with the film's producers.

He criticized them for diminishing his role in the film trailers which have been circulating, and instead focusing on Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, who went on to became huge solo stars.

Ren was an integral part of the group and has writing credits on a majority of their 1998 debut album Straight Outta Compton, which the film is named after. He even contributed to their infamous track "F--k Tha Police."

It's unclear how much Ren will be represented in the film when it hits theaters on August 14.
