These Rapped Wedding Toasts Are Hilarious And Painfully Awkward

From Eminem to Jay Z to Macklemore, your favorites get remixed.

A few weeks ago, just days before my friend's wedding, his brother -- and the best man -- shot me a text: "Seriously debating throwing some Drake bars in the best man speech," he wrote.

"Not sure what the debate is?" I told him -- doing my best to lightly pressure him into, yes, obviously, quoting the esteemed Canadian poet Aubrey Graham in front of assorted friends and family of all ages.

But it turns out a lot of Drizzy's relationship rhymes are about strippers of loneliness, with not a ton of inspiring romance in between. Because of this, at first, he was at a loss. At the eleventh hour, though, the best man found a way to seamlessly (and in a non-cheesy way) weave a rather touching line from "Hold On, We're Going Home" into an already moving speech (I may or may not have shed some tears).

My friend's brother certainly was not the first to try to sprinkle some rap into a wedding speech -- but based on what we're about to see, he may have done it the best.

The brave souls below all decided to take things a step further -- by actually rapping their speeches during the wedding. And, thanks to the Internet, they've all now been immortalized for our collective viewing. If you're like me, these will simultaneously make you laugh, cringe and feel wildly uncomfortable. Enjoy.

Let's start with the best of the bunch: A pretty impressive "Look At Me Now" remix.

For her "Without Me" remix, this girl turned Eminem's "Two trailer park girls go 'round the outside" opening to "Two lover in love walk down the aisle." So that happened. Reasonably well-done overall, though.

Do you prefer that Eminem attempt, or this "Real Slim Shady" remix? And, no, you can't say neither.

Let's leave the "Super Bass" to Nicki Minaj, shall we?

The "Fresh Prince" theme is tailor made for toasts. I mean, it starts off, "Now this is a story all about how..."

OK, this girl stole the other girl's "Fresh Prince" remix intro. Not cool.

More "Fresh Prince," but at least she switched it up.

This is our last "Fresh Prince" remix. Promise.

OK. OK. I lied. This really is the last "Fresh Prince" one, though.

Do they call her T-Money even when she's not rapping?

Group effort here. The bride's reaction in the frozen frame says it all.

Well, his rapping is actually better than his singing, so there's that.

When someone giving a toast at a wedding says, "DJ, drop that beat," and then "Ice Ice Baby" comes on, this is what happens.

The stone-faced woman in her seat at the 1:55 mark is my favorite part of this one.

It's just like "Baby Got Back," except "Sarah Got Ray." Get it. 'Cause they're getting married.

This woman really threw it back with the Beastie Boys' "Paul Revere."

The throwbacks continue with "It Takes Two."

Yes, LFO was kind of rapping on "Summer Girls." And these girls are kind of rapping on this remix, too.

And these guys are kind of rapping on their own "Summer Girls" rendition.

Jay Z's "99 Problems" becomes "99 Weddings" -- a cappella.

This list wouldn't have been complete without someone remaking Iggy Azalea's "Fancy."

And Macklemore's "Thrift Shop." Apparently you have to wear a hood when you rap, by the way.
