We already lost Zayn Malik, so there's no way Harry Styles will be leaving us next... right?
Yes, you can breathe a sigh of relief, Directioners, because Harry is staying in One Direction, at least for now.
"We have the album and the tour that we’re working on right now. I think when you have so many goals that you feel like you have yet to achieve, it’s hard to kind of see past those,” he told Ryan Seacrest over the phone. “It’s important to kind of focus on what’s going on and [not] lose track. So we’re all working hard toward the same thing right now, and I don’t think we’re thinking much past that. We’re just having a lot of fun and we’re working hard and we’re having a good time.”
The group kicks off the second leg of their On The Road Again Tour Friday, and over this past month, they've been hard at work on their upcoming fifth, and "different," album. Harry admitted that even with the absence of their fifth member, the creative promise has been "very similar," however.
"It’s great, the new stuff sounds good so far I think," Harry said. "I hope. So we hope that people like it.”
Hazza revealed that new music will be released "toward the end of the year," with the group "dropping some new stuff at times" while on the road.
But they aren't just working on music for themselves -- Harry, who may or may not write songs under the name Mick Greenburg, said they are also penning tracks for other artists.
“We all write. We all enjoy writing so much that sometimes you write a song you like that just doesn’t necessarily work,” Harry, who recently collaborated on a song with Meghan Trainor, said. “It’s also nice kind of writing from different points of view -- and writing for other people is definitely fun.”
