7 Reunions That Will Probably Make Us Cry At The ATX Television Festival

Kleenex on fleek, amirite?

This Thursday (June 4), MTV News will make its way to the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas. And while there are plenty of reasons to be excited -- tacos, BBQ, sunshine, TV shows, etc. -- it's these seven television reunions that have us preemptively fan-girling.

  1. "Gilmore Girls"

On Saturday (June 6), the entire cast of the WB's beloved "Gilmore Girls" will reunite to celebrate the show's 15th anniversary. Trust us: you don't need coffee to get your heart pumping for this panel. The panel includes executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, as well as cast members Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, Keiko Agena, Danny Strong, Jackson Douglas, Todd Lowe, Liz Torres, Yanic Truesdale and John Cabrera. And yes, all three of Rory's great loves -- Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) and Logan (Matt Czuchry) -- will be in attendance. Swoon.

  2. "Dawson's Creek"
    Giphy

Okay, so maybe the cast won't be there (OR SO WE THINK), but "Dawson's Creek" fans are in for quite a treat with not one, but three panels -- one will reunite the "Dawson's Creek" writers' room, another will feature an intimate conversation between creator Kevin Williamson and his partner-in-crime Julie Plec and the final event will be a script reading of the pilot episode, presented by Williamson and some very SPECIAL GUESTS. (Note: If Joshua Jackson is there, this reporter might literally faint.)

  3. "Queer As Folk"
    Showtime

Once upon a time "Queer As Folk" was the most groundbreaking show on cable. The show, an American take on a U.K. series, followed the lives of gay men in Pittsburgh, and it was monumental for gay representation on TV. The reunion panel will include exec producers Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman, as well as cast members Gale Harold, Peter Paige, Robert Gant, Scott Lowell, Michelle Clunie and Thea Gill. No Micheal Novotny? No problem! Emmett Honeycutt is all you need.

  4. "Boy Meets World"

Ben Savage (aka Cory Matthews) will join "Boy Meets World" creator Michael Jacobs, and his "Girl Meets World" costars, Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard, for the "Boy Meets Girl Meets World" panel, which will explore the the world of tween series, including the differences of creating a teen show today versus the '90s. Yep. That has our names written all over it.

  5. "Justified"
    FX

"Justified" may have just ended, but that doesn't mean our tears have dried just yet. The FX drama will ride one last time with a final farewell panel this weekend. Creator and exec producer Graham Yost will take an in-depth look back on his series, and he'll be joined by some TBD talent. We're just going to put this out into the Universe, but it would be really cool to have tacos and chat about life with Walton Sanders Goggins, Jr. That is all.

  6. "Journeyman"
    NBC

Oh my god if we jump back into time to save "Journeyman" from cancelation, we would. This little-watched sci-fi series, starring Kevin McKidd, was ahead of its time. EP and writer Kevin Falls will join cast members McKidd and Reed Diamond for the timeless panel. (See what we did there?)

  7. "Bunheads"

We're still in denial over the untimely "Bunheads" cancelation. The ABC Family series was too good for this world. So, if you're like us, you can join creator Amy Sherman Palladino and cast members Kelly Bishop, Sutton Foster and Stacey Oristano for a special "cancelled too soon" screening at ATX. We're already weeping just thinking about it.
