What Do You Make Of The 1975's Latest Announcement? Because We Seriously Don't Know

Is it a break-up? Is it a style change? We don't know.

Attention rock fans: the 1975 are about to undergo some serious changes, we just don't know what.

On Sunday, May 31, the group's singer Matty Healy took to Twitter and Instagram to make an announcement, but we can't say that we're exactly sure what he announced.

"The hardest part of any relationship is to say 'goodbye,'" read a really cool and cryptic comic strip that Healy posted on social media. "So when we leave, with a parting 'We love you' -- we are already gone."

Some thought that the group was hinting at a break-up, while other fans shot down the notion.

"As much as we might like things to stay the same, change is an inevitable part of life," read another portion of the comic. "We can't simply go on forever -- always staying the same, never evolving."

Oh, so this is more of an evolution thing? Good, because the group's 2013 self-titled debut album was pretty awesome.

In the comic art, the "old Matty" is dressed in all black, standing over "new Matty" who is decked out in all pink. So maybe, Healy is just saying "goodbye" to his old-self and is ready for a style change.

Guess we'll just have to file this one under "Wait and See."
