If there's one color we tend to shy away from when it comes to eye shadow, it's pink. While we may wear pink on our lips, toes, fingers, and cheeks, successfully pulling it off on our eyes has always been daunting—until now.
Makeup artist Allison Perlstein shared her secrets for pulling off a pink eye look without making it look like you have, y'know, pinkeye. We broke down the steps into eight simple GIFs—you'll be having a #covermoment in no time!
Using a brush, press a COVERGIRL Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Fired-Up Pink all over your lid. Keep patting on color until you reach your desired shade.
Using a clean brush, blend the light pink and white shade from the COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Shadows in Blushing Nudes on top.
Blend the colors out to the brow bone—this will help spread the shimmer around.
Lining the eyes, Allison told us, is the most important step in this entire look—otherwise the pink will look more like a symptom of allergies than anything deliberate. To avoid this problem, line your top lid—close to the lashes—using Bombshell Intensity Liner by LashBlast in Pitch Black Passion.
Dot a pencil eyeliner like COVERGIRL Perfect Blend Eyeliner in Basic Black underneath your lashes.

Drag it along your lower lash line—it doesn't have to be perfect, you're going to blend it in a second.
Using a smaller brush, blend the liner underneath your eye.
Finally, to make your lashes pop, use COVERGIRL's The Super Sizer by LashBlast Mascara in Very Black.
See? Pulling off pink eye shadow is totally possible. YAY.
