Your Memorial Day Weekend Might Include A New Nicki Minaj And Jay Z Song

As if a long weekend wasn't good enough.

The last time we heard Nicki Minaj and Jay Z on a track together was almost five years ago, when she stole the show with what many look at as a career-shifting verse on Kanye West's "Monster." And now we may finally hear these two together again -- and soon.

On Thursday, Nicki tweeted -- and then quickly deleted -- a confirmation of a new track with Jay Z. When asked by a fan, "What about the Jay Z collab," the rapper responded, "It's coming in 3 days."

In some ways, it would be somewhat surprising if this actually happens: Nicki put out her latest album, The Pinkprint, less than half a year ago, and probably won't be giving us much, if any, new solo stuff for some time. Hov, meanwhile, hasn't revealed that he's working on a new album -- though, he probably is. A new single with Nicki would be one hell of a way to start the rollout, but it also seems off that she'd be the one announcing his new music (though the quick delete of the post suggests that she feels like she gave away too much).

Either way, I hope this is true and, if it is, I also hope you have Tidal. Because let's be real: This song (if it comes out) is coming out on Tidal.
