Chris Pratt Confirms: You'll Be Seeing Starlord In 'Another Couple' Marvel Films

But which ones?

Starlord, the retro pop music-loving hero from "Guardians of the Galaxy," will be dancing his way into theaters again another several times -- but not necessarily in a movie with "guardians" or "galaxy" in the title.

In what may or may not have been an accidental slip while interviewing with GQ, "Guardians" star Chris Pratt went on the record as saying, "I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know. Two more Guardians plus another couple."

And while we could debate what the actor meant by that, it seems like a pretty unambiguous beans-spilling to he: Pratt is evidently under contract to appear as Starlord in "another couple" movies within the Marvel universe.

Given the way that Marvel loves to connect the dots between its various franchises, this isn't surprising news; there's even an existing connection already between the "Thor" series and "Guardians," courtesy of Benicio del Toro's Collector. But knowing for sure that Chris Pratt will be boarding more than one ship as Starlord, so to speak, this seems like a good time to round up the likely candidates for his cameo, in reverse order of likelihood.

  1. The least likely: "Captain America: Civil War"

Given how far along development is on this one, it's basically impossible that Chris Pratt could be appearing in it without word having already leaked out.

  2. Also unlikely: "Ant-Man"

But the idea of Pratt and Paul Rudd sharing a screen is so good, they'll have to turn up together as co-stars somewhere, sometime, so maybe hold out for a sequel?

  3. Unlikely but possible: "Doctor Strange"

Very little is known about this 2016 movie, but its potential for universe-hopping, quantum-leaping plotlines means we could get a drive-by glimpse of Starlord somewhere in the mix.

  4. But it's probably "Avengers: Infinity War", Parts 1 and 2

Given the Avengers' penchant for bringing together a) heroes, and b) infinity stones, this seems like the most obvious place for Starlord to cross over.
