Thank An Instagrammed Snail For Amanda Seyfried And Justin Long's Romance

Stars like funny animal pics, too.

One of the perks of being a movie star is that online dating is strictly optional, and probably completely unnecessary. But for Justin Long and Amanda Seyfried, the internet was absolutely key in getting them together.

Specifically, the two would never have fallen in love if not for Justin's cheeky, snail-centric Instagram habit.

In an interview with Vogue, Amanda revealed that it was one of her now-boyfriend's posts on the Gram that won her heart before they ever started dating.

"It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, ‘F--king MOOOOOOOOVE,'" she said. "It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him."

Justin's Instagram seems to have since disappeared, which means that we cannot confirm the existence of said internet snail -- but Amanda Seyfried is still an active user of the app, and Justin is a frequent guest. (Vogue has rounded up some of their sweetest photo ops, too. Aww.)

The moral of this story, obviously, is to always be maximum witty on social media, just in case. You never know when somebody important might be lurking. Watching.
